Fit for the future with sensor technology
Hamilton shows solutions for process analytics at the BrauBeviale
Companies looking for products for process analytics in breweries are exactly at the right place at Hamilton Bonaduz AG. In accordance with their expertise, the sensor specialist shows their broad portfolio in hall 6, booth 6-243, at the BrauBeviale in Nuremberg, Germany, held on November 13-15. Hamilton has made a name for itself among the brewers with the sensor VisiTrace DO as well as the portable dissolved oxygen measurement device Beverly, which have become indispensable in the brewing industry. VisiTrace DO is an optical dissolved oxygen sensor that convinces with fast, reliable as well as precise measurement results in the low ppb area. Thanks to a short response time, changes are detected quickly and exact measurements are provided. Said measurement results are transferred hard wired to the process control system and in parallel via an integrated Bluetooth 4.0 interface by means of the ArcAir app to a smartphone or a tablet. A micro transmitter in the sensor head converts the results to a robust 4-20 mA signal and saves all relevant data, including calibration and life time information. Additionally the oxygen sensitive luminophore is stabilized against chlorine and chlorine dioxide leading to weathering more cleaning procedures. The portable dissolved oxygen device Beverly can be used anywhere needed in the brewing process and offers simple and quick quality control. The device has been developed in close cooperation with breweries. Robust design, easy operation as well its easy maintenance are results of numerous feedbacks from breweries. Utilizing the optical dissolved oxygen sensor VisiFerm DO, Beverly offers especially for small and medium-sized breweries highest performance at a fair price. “We are looking forward to this year’s BrauBeviale, exchanging views with established as well as new customers is always a valuable experience”, states Dr. Knut Georgy, Senior Market Segment Manager Process Analytics at the Hamilton Bonaduz AG.
